RICHMOND, VA —Today, the Virginia House Democratic Caucus announced additions to the leadership team for the upcoming legislative session, naming Delegate Destiny LeVere Bolling as Whip and Delegate Phil Hernandez as Deputy Whip.
“Delegate LeVere Bolling and Delegate Hernandez bring discipline, focus, and a deep commitment to this caucus,” said House Democratic Leader Charniele Herring. “As trusted leaders, they will help move forward legislation that delivers real results for Virginians.”
“I’m honored to serve as Whip for the Virginia House Democratic Caucus,” said Delegate LeVere Bolling. “This is a moment that calls for teamwork, clarity, and follow-through. I look forward to working with our members to deliver results for Virginians and move our shared priorities forward.”
“I’m grateful for the confidence my colleagues have placed in me,” said Delegate Phil Hernandez. “As Deputy Whip, I’m focused on making sure every member is heard and that our work stays grounded in the needs of the communities we represent.”
In their new roles, Whip LeVere Bolling and Deputy Whip Hernandez will be responsible for coordinating caucus strategy, building consensus among members, and helping advance House Democrats’ legislative priorities focused on affordability, public safety, and protecting Virginians’ rights.
