On Tuesday, the Virginia House Democratic Caucus congratulated its 2025 nominees for the House of Delegates. After flipping the Chamber and reclaiming the majority in 2023, House Democrats are now focused on expanding their majority this November.
With the field set and momentum growing across the Commonwealth, Democrats are launching their general election campaign with a diverse, community-rooted slate of candidates and a clear path to victory. From rural towns to urban neighborhoods, Democrats are united behind a common mission: protecting fundamental freedoms, lowering costs for working families, investing in public schools, and building an economy that works for everyone.
“We’ve got the momentum, we’ve got the message, and we’ve got the candidates who reflect the communities they serve,” said Speaker Don Scott. “Our values are on the line—freedom, opportunity, and a government of, by, and for the people. This election is our chance to uphold those values and deliver real results for Virginians. So let’s get to work and win this thing in November.”
“Congratulations to all of our Democratic nominees, and a heartfelt thank you to all of the candidates who stepped up to run in this election,” said Del. Dan Helmer, Campaigns Chair. “Running for office takes grit, heart, and deep commitment to public service, and our party is stronger because of the ideas and energy these candidates brought to the table. Now, with our slate in place, we’re ready to take this fight into the general election. Tonight we celebrate. Tomorrow, we get back to work. The general election starts now, and we’re ready to win.”
