RICHMOND, VA – Governor Spanberger has signed 15 bills introduced by House Democrats into law to prevent gun violence and make the Commonwealth more safe. House Democrats introduced and passed bills to address ghost guns, require safer storage where minors are present, strengthen protections for domestic violence survivors, reduce theft-driven gun trafficking, crack down on weapons of war in our communities, and more.
“Virginia House Democrats came to Richmond to build a safer and more secure Virginia, and we’ve delivered. The work we have done this session will be instrumental in preventing gun violence and saving lives across the Commonwealth,” said the Virginia House Democratic Caucus. “From banning the sale of assault weapons and ghost guns to requiring safe storage, Virginia House Democrats passed legislation to protect our children and neighbors.”
