Richmond – Delegate Mike Mullin (D-93) penned a letter to the Virginia Department of Corrections on Wednesday, expressing concerns about a proposed policy that would bar female visitors from wearing tampons. The Department of Public Safety suspended the policy and its start date on Tuesday for further review.
Delegate Mullin, along with the 27 other members of the House Democratic Caucus, offered to discuss alternative options to prevent contraband from entering prisons.
