RICHMOND, Va.—Yesterday, the Virginia House Democratic Caucus reported that it raised a total of $655,312.21 during the first quarter of 2021, with $412,536.75 cash on hand. This comes after the Caucus pledged not to fundraise during the special session that extended the 2021 Regular Legislative Session.
Jaime Reimers, the House Democratic Caucus Executive Director, released the following statement in response:
“The House Democratic Caucus is proud to report such strong numbers, particularly because we only had 43 days to fundraise during this quarter. This is a strong signal of what is to come as we launch into the campaign season. Virginians have embraced the wave of progress brought by the new Democratic majority and we are just getting started.”
