RICHMOND, Va.—Today, the Virginia House of Delegates agreed to the conference report on the House Budget (HB 7001), which amended in several areas how the American Rescue Plan funding will be allocated to best help the people of the Commonwealth.
Virginia Speaker Eileen Filler-Corn, House Democratic Majority Leader Charniele Herring, and House Democratic Caucus Chair Rip Sullivan released the following statement in response:
“With this budget, we will meet the needs of thousands of Virginians across the Commonwealth. This funding is vital to rebuilding Virginia stronger and will have an enormous impact on the people hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. Our Democratic Majority’s hard work will continue to move the Commonwealth forward.”
