RICHMOND, VA — Today, the Virginia House Democratic Caucus Leadership proudly endorsed Gretchen Bulova, Democratic nominee for House District 11.
Gretchen Bulova has spent more than three decades serving the Fairfax community and working to elect Democrats at every level of government. A proven local leader with deep roots in HD-11, she has a long record of public service — from serving on the Fairfax County History Commission to leading parent groups, community organizations, and local Democratic committees. She is also a respected leader in Virginia’s museum and historic preservation community, overseeing nationally recognized programs that connect education, history, and public service.
“Gretchen Bulova brings a lifetime of service and a deep commitment to her community,” said Speaker Don Scott. “She understands that strong schools, affordable communities, and protected freedoms are the foundation of a thriving Commonwealth. Gretchen will be a thoughtful, effective leader in the House of Delegates and a strong partner as we continue delivering for Virginians.”
“Gretchen Bulova has built deep roots in Fairfax through decades of service and leadership,” said Leader Charniele Herring. “She knows the challenges facing families in House District 11 and has the experience to deliver real solutions. Gretchen will be a strong, steady voice for her community and a leader we are proud to support.”
“House District 11 deserves leadership that reflects its values and its future,” said Chair Kathy Tran. “Gretchen Bulova brings the experience, perspective, and commitment needed to represent her community effectively in Richmond. She will work to deliver results for Fairfax families and be a strong voice for her district in the House of Delegates.”
“I am honored to receive the endorsement of the Virginia House Democratic Caucus,” said Gretchen Bulova, Democratic nominee for HD-11. “Public service is a core value for me, and I will bring that perspective and community-focused leadership to Richmond. As the mother of three, I want to ensure that all of our families have the means to thrive. I am fighting to make Virginia affordable for all working families, to fully fund our schools, and pass the constitutional amendments to protect choice, restore voter rights, and enshrine marriage equality. I look forward to working in the House of Delegates to continue moving Virginia Forward!”
The special election for House District 11 is scheduled for January 13, 2026.
